The Very Reverend Dr. Kyle Norman inducted Rev. George as Rector for Grace and St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Parishes in Prince George on September 21, 2023.
Before members of both congregations and other witnesses, Readers, Representatives and the Wardens of the two congregations participated, presenting the tools of Rev. George’s ministry: Bibles; water, wine and bread; the Policy books of the Territory of the People, and the keys to the two churches. Rev. George and the people gathered covenanted together to support each other throughout Rev. George’s ministry in Prince George. The ceremony concluded with Holy Eucharist followed by a reception of delicious treats and beverages in King Hall.

The Reverend Westgate has been serving as Rector of Grace Anglican and St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church since mid-May 2023. He will be inducted to the parishes on Thursday, September 21, the Feast of St. Cyprian, at St. Michael’s. The Very Rev. Dr. Kyle Norman, Commissary and Dean of the Territory of the People Anglican Church in Canada, will preside at the service and induct Rev. George to the parishes. The service will be followed by a reception.
On Saturday, September 16, the Electoral Assembly of the Territory of the People Anglican Church in Canada met and elected Clara Plamondon second bishop in the history of the Territory. Bishop-elect Plamondon was elected by a majority in both Houses, Clergy and Laity, on the first and only ballot. Bishop-elect Clara will be consecrated Bishop in the near future when she concludes her commitments to the Anglican Diocese of Islands and Inlets.
